Spray foam roofing is a two-part liquid sprayed onto the roof that expands and cures into a rigid, seamless, insulated, and waterproof layer. Because it is seamless, it eliminates the joint failures that drive most low-slope leaks, and because it insulates, it adds R-value in the same step.

The foam itself does not wear out. A protective elastomeric coating shields the foam from UV, and the coating is recoated at intervals to renew the system at a fraction of the original cost. That is the core advantage of a foam roof: low long-term maintenance cost.
