Project 1046: Modified bitumen roof for a historic winery conversion
Project 1046 replaced a two-layer modified bitumen roof with aluminum coating at a historic winery being converted to a new commercial use. Fermentation tanks had to leave through a large roof opening before a new modified bitumen roof was installed, with tight trade coordination and safety controls around the structural cut.

How we approached it
The winery's old fermentation tanks could only leave through the roof. That made this a sequencing project first and a roofing project second.
After the tanks were removed and other trades cleared the opening, we installed a new modified bitumen roof so the adaptive reuse kept a durable low-slope assembly matched to the building's next commercial purpose.
