Project 1853: Maintenance shop TPO retrofit in Dumas, Texas
Project 1853 rebuilt a wind-damaged standing seam metal roof at a government agency maintenance shop in Dumas by keeping the metal as the structural deck. Flute fill leveled the ribs, high-density polyiso went over it, a tapered insulation system directed water to new collector boxes and downspouts, and a fully adhered 60-mil TPO membrane closed the assembly under a 20-year No Dollar Limit warranty.

How we approached it
The existing standing seam metal roof had substantial wind damage. After evaluation, tear-off of the metal was rejected. The panels were kept as the deck so a high-performance TPO retrofit could be built above them.
Flute fill leveled the ribbed profile. Continuous high-density polyiso was fastened into the purlins. A tapered insulation plan directed water to new collector boxes and downspouts. A fully adhered 60-mil TPO membrane completed the system under an in-house design-build package and a 20-year NDL warranty for the State of Texas.
