Reddy Ice Odessa: silicone restoration over spray foam
At the Reddy Ice facility in Odessa, an aging spray polyurethane foam roof with a failing acrylic coating was restored instead of torn off. After targeted foam repairs and surface prep, GAF High Solids Silicone was applied across the roof with heavy-duty mastics at penetrations and seams, delivering a new 10-year GAF material warranty with minimal production disruption.

How we approached it
The acrylic coating was breaking down and foam had pulled back in limited areas, but much of the foam still had good adhesion. That made restoration a strong candidate versus full tear-off and TPO.
The owner chose silicone to stay within budget, keep the plant running, and gain UV and ponding performance. After foam repairs and prep, GAF High Solids Silicone closed the system under a manufacturer-backed 10-year material warranty.
