Project# 1270 – Commercial Re-Roof TPO

Storm Damage Emergency Response: Complete Roof Replacement with TPO System

When a violent storm swept through the area, the existing smooth built-up roof (BUR) on our client’s commercial building couldn’t withstand the extreme wind gusts. The damage was severe, with half of the roofing system torn away, exposing the interior to the elements. With rain continuing to fall, the situation called for immediate action to prevent further damage to the building’s infrastructure and protect ongoing operations.

Rapid Response in the Face of an Emergency

Our team mobilized quickly, arriving on-site shortly after the storm passed to assess the situation and begin temporary repairs. Within hours, we secured the exposed areas to prevent water intrusion and provided the client with a detailed replacement plan. Understanding the urgency, we fast-tracked the project, working around the clock to remove the damaged two-layer BUR system and prepare for the installation of a new roof.

New TPO Roof with Enhanced Insulation

Given the extent of the damage, the client decided to replace the entire roof with a durable, energy-efficient TPO roofing system. As part of the installation, we added two layers of ISO insulation to bring the roof up to current code requirements, ensuring improved energy performance and enhanced weather resistance. The TPO membrane was selected for its UV resistance, flexibility, and long-term durability, making it an excellent fit for the building’s needs.

Despite the challenges presented by the weather and the extensive damage, our team delivered the new roofing system in just two weeks. From the moment the storm struck to the final inspection, we maintained open communication with the client, coordinating materials and labor to meet the project’s tight timeline. Our ability to act swiftly ensured the building was operational again without unnecessary delays or disruptions.
